OMG these shorts are so great

Is what I said leaving the dressing room after trying these .99 shorts on!

It was Wednesday, and in my area that means the glorious color of the week is only .99, (as well as on Sunday) whatever the item, and these shorts were indeed the color of the week, red.

And I scooped em up,

and wore ’em hiking

and sitting on rocks by the river,

and loved it.

I also found this great blouse by for $4.49.  What a price.  I love flowers.  I love blouses.  This shirt has both.  Or is both…one of the two.  Or both of the two.  I’m done now.

Lastly, that day I purchased a comfortable cotton long sleeve purple heavy tee, new from Target, also for $4.49.

Can’t wait to lounge around in this.

Other items I ‘found’ but did not scoop up for fiscal responsibility and grown up reasons (maybe I could give the governement a hand or advice in this area…?) are these two items:

At $8 this purse by Mossimo isn’t outrageously priced, but I don’t need one, and am really looking to down size my purse wearing anyway, and this doesn’t really support that goal, as pretty as it is.  I do love the scoop pocket style.

This clutch/wallet would support the smaller theme, but I am looking for one with straps.  No one needs to be walking around holding something, that/s just annoying.

For now I will just stare and pine…and be fine with the lovely purse I currently have from Goodwill that I get oh so many compliments on.  It will do for now.  This is what I mean by grown up reasons.  That is such a responsible grown up thing to say, wouldn’t you agree?

On a previous trip, I snagged this top for .99 as well

This is a Gap XS…go figure that one.  I have never been accused of being an XS, even when I was like 10 years old..:)  I understand it’s not supposed to be a tight fitting shirt…but its not tight on me, fits perfectly loose, and the shoulders should not fit on me if it was a true XS.  But I’m not complaining or aguing, it fits and I like it.  And I’ll wear it to have Mexican and $3 Margaritas any day of the week.

This is all I have for now…stay tuned for a furniture post!  I have recently moved, and found several great finds for my new place at two area Goodwills!  Couldn’t be happier with them, and I will share them next!

Until then, happy thrifting, Goodwilling, and living,

Two-Trip Day

Katie at Thriftyourheartout (www.thriftyourheartout.wordpress.com) was talking about how she needed to make a list of things she needed to look for when she went thrifting.

Well, the only thing I need right now is socks…or to do more laundry:), and I draw the line at buying certian things at Goodwill, and under-under garments make the cut.

So I will continue my aimless perusing, and find great things like these…

an authentic from Ireland purple and pink houndstooth wool coat for $24.99!!!  I could’ve never known beforehand how badly I needed just that!

If you asked me the one place I would want to go anywhere in the world, my answer will and has always been Ireland.  One of these days I need to bite the bullet (or the airplane) and just go!

But until then, I get to wear this great coat.

(Don’t mind the mismatched colors in the top pic…I’ll remember to wear more neutral colors on future trips)

I also got this great blouse

$4.99, originally from Target by Mossimo.

Being the country singing fashion gal that I am (you can check me and some of my originals out at www.reverbnation.com/jaimenelson:), I couldn’t pass this up.

I actually had it once, the exact same shirt, but it was a little big.  This one fits like a glove, so I bought it up!

those were on my first trip….

on my second, I picked up…

a $3 scarf from the Gap that I had found on my first trip and decided I needed to go back for,

and a $3.99 flowery top from Forever 21 to add to my growing collection that I found as a result.

I am very happy with my two trip day to Goodwill and my finds.

I hope you have all had success lately in your trips!

Until next time, peace and love,

Jaime
